Our vision is to see people restored through intimate relationship with Jesus and for people to see how wonderful God is through this process. We desire to be open vessels willing to do whatever God wants to do through us. We acknowledge that He has been faithful to develop skills in us throughout the years and we wait expectantly to see how He may use these skills for His kingdom and glory.
Our vision has developed around igniting a locally led and sustained healing ministry, focused on spiritual and physical restoration of people and communities that is self multiplying without creating dependency on outside resources. This vision has led to our interest in various teaching models ranging from Community Health Evangelism (CHE), focused on empowering people at the village level, to more formal teaching opportunities focused on training local health workers, nurses, and physicians.
It is our desire to work with local believers to create a locally sustainable ministry that restores "shalom", spiritual, physical and emotional peace and restoration of relationship between people and their God, their environment and their community. We desire to work near unreached people groups to reach them through training, empowering, and discipling local believers to be part of the great commission and the work of the global church.

CHE (pronounced CHAY) is a ministry model that empowers local people to take ownership of their spiritual and physical health and development. It has produced dramatic transformational results in communities where it has been started. People's lives have been empowered and changed as they take ownership for their spiritual grown, physical health and their communities development and transformation.

Health Worker and Physician Training
Opportunities for teaching abound at a mission hospital. We look forward to participating in the education of community health workers, nurses, medical students, and specialist physicians. Soddo Christian Hospital is a training site for the Pan African Academy of Christian Surgeons, a general surgical residency. We have a deep interest in discipling and training local physicians and health workers.
Additionally, a family medicine resident training program is currently being pioneered in Ethiopia. This is an opportunity to impact the health of a nation by providing more robust training to the primary care physicians of Ethiopia. We look forward to bring our family medicine training to Ethiopia and perhaps help shape the development of this specialty.

Hospital Design and Construction
Taylor has been given the opportunity to grow as an architect specializing in designing medical facilities and has had fifteen years of experience in the US. During this time God provided three opportunities to design and build rural hospital projects in Sierra Leone, the Gambia and Guatemala. It is still unknown to us, but we wonder how God will use these skills in Ethiopia for His glory and kingdom purposes. We feel that the same core values of bringing glory to Jesus, empowering local people and creating a sustainable and multiplying process through the utilization of local resources can have great value in the design and construction of medical facilities.
